Does this work on a Browning X-bolt 2 .308? I was told x-bolt 2 use a different pattern than the x-bolt 1.

You will need a rail set for the Short Action, not the Super Short Action. The .308 cartridge was chambered on the short action platform for both the Xbolt, and Xbolt II. You are looking for the P00252735 - Standard Moa, Black (or) P0M252735 - 20 Moa, Black

Which model rail would be needed for a Browning X-Bolt Hunter 30.06?

If you have an X-Bolt 1, you will need a long action rail; if it's an X-bolt 2, you will need the magnum length rail.

Yes, the Talley Picatinny Base for Browning X-Bolt 20 MOA w/ Anti-Cant Indicator will work on a Browning X Bolt Western Hunter in 300 PRC. You will need the Magnum Length Action Model.
