Will the 708R grips fit the SW9VE Model? The first version before the SD9VE.

Yes, it should still fit the SW9VE, the grips are very similar to the SD9VE.

What is the difference between the rubber and granulated

The rubber is a textured rubber finish, and the granulated has an abrasive added, much like skateboard tape, or anti-slip tape used on stairs. Its abrasive, and you'll know it, especially if you'r going to carry IWB. Not sure who needs that much grip, the rubber is much more comfortable and more forgiving to your skin and clothing.

Well this size grip bit the Smith and Wesson SD versions? Both the SD9VE and the SD40VE.

MPN: 708R, MPN: 708G, and MPN: 708M will fit both SD9VE and SD40VE.
