I have a 6.5 savage axis series rifle and want to know if this scope will handle a high cal/powered rifle and still hold zero after I fire?

It should not have an issue with the recoil of a 6.5 Creedmoor.

The rings that come with are for weaver rails, you would need a set of dovetail rings instead.
