The manufacturer will only say that they use "aircraft grade billet aluminum." They do not give the specific type.

It’s probably 6061 or 7075. 6061 is cheaper, lighter, and easier to machine so that would be my guess. Usually when something is 7075 they will tell you because the increased strength is a selling point.
