YES, if you have a Weatherby 2 position safety you would need our #609 replacement.

If your Vanguard has a factory 2 position safety, you will need model 609. If it has a factory 3 position safety, you will need model 611.

This model of trigger is advertised with a 3 lb. pull. But the trigger is also advertised as adjustable. Can you adjust the pull weight to 1.5 lb?

Yes, the user can adjust the pull weight down to 1.5 pounds.

Will this trigger work on a Smith & Wesson 1500

Unfortunately this most likely will not fit the S&W 1500. That is an older 1500 model, which means the bottom of the safety arm has a projection that prevents the unit from sitting in the receiver. The safety cannot be moved once the trigger is set into place.
