Yes and yes, although most operators prefer a different style VCOG mount or something where both levers lock. Insuring you adjust the levers correctly makes it a very reliable optic as expected by USMC operators. We prefer Energizer E2 lithium batteries because they last a full month left on a barely see red +2 brightness left in 1x setting.

When the Armory has it we remove batteries to avoid a mess in the compartment when operator’s use different batteries and get moisture in the battery enclosure.
