A YouTube video has this as being front sight elevation adjustable without a tool- but it is not pictured this way. Poor photo, or different product?

I just saw the same vid you did and the ones here are different... at least the front one is. The ones here have the rounded Ak style front sight vs. the standard Ar style Y or U shaped front sight.

Yes, these should co-witness with that sight as long as your sight has the co-witness riser or mount installed.

How much rail space do they require folded down

I measure 2 5/16" for both. The rear is actually a hair shorter. Although I hang the rear sight off the rear end of the rail on my DP-12. I suppose on an AR the charging rail might need the full length above the rail.
