This sight is designed to be used on gas blocks that are lower than the rail on your rifle. This would sit at co-witness height.

This is a gas block heigh sight. This will be level with your rear sight so if your rear is full cowitness then it will be the same for the front sight. If your rear is 1/3 cowitness then it will be the same for the front. The previous answer to your question was incorrect
