The TROY SOCC Gen2 will replace your current TROY Rail. Depending on when your A4 made it might need a new barrel nut. The best way to tell if any additional changes are needed is to see if the mounting system on your current rail has the same mounting system as the SOCC Gen 2. The barrel nut that all current TROY AR-15 rails use is a Mil-Spec Barrel nut (timed correctly). Thank you
