how to know what size to buy?

A
Answered by Hush, guest, from ID, United States, on September 04, 2021

Depends on your agility on snow and your athletic ability. The more proficient you are, the more length you can handle and your pole length is important. Don't use ski poles!! Use adjustable length hiking poles, which can handle your weight. If you're proficient in x-country skiing, you may be able to use larger size, as you will have necessary leg strength to propel uphill travel.

what is best size for a 235 lbs male 25 or 30

36 is what I would get were I as large. I'm 170 lbs & 6' and the 30 works for me. I'm on a 4-5 ft snow base going uphill most of the time, which is more than 50 days/season. Also, if you're setting the track, definitely 36" for you. But only you can judge your "agility" and your preferred shoeing speed - and don't overlook length of your poles. If you're using for a workout, definitely the large size is best...and the BOA binding system is super incredible. 5 stars for it; wouldn't have anything but BOA ! Good Luck, Dan.
