What is the difference of this with the Brooklyn type of mount? Im planning to put one with my old, reliable M14 with a Leupold M4 scope — 1 Answer

The M14 Brookfield mount is a Weaver style mount, so the recoil lug cuts are not regularly spaced and may not be of uniform size. That mount will still fit most normal scope rings, but not some picatinny specific rings. These M14 6" and 7" mounts are picatinny, so the spacing is regular as are the recoil lug cuts themselves.
