How does it mount to the slide?

You will need to remove the rear sight. The red dot comes with a piece that will slide into the rear sight dovetail. This piece has the posts for the optic screws. You’ll place the red dot directly on the slide. You then install the red dot screws and it’ll tighten up to the slide and with that dovetail piece. Make sure to torque the screws to spec and witness mark them.

Will this fit a S&W Bodyguard 2.0?

I don’t think it will. I don’t know the Bodyguard 2.0 well enough to say for sure, but this red dot was designed to fit the Ruger LCP Max. This red dot doesn’t have a bottom to it and relies on the slide to act as the bottom of the dot. It fits the shape and contour of the LCP max slide and I don’t know that the design will fit the shape of the Bodyguard slide or any other slide.
