Does this stock work with the Springfield OEM barrel shroud?

The manufacturer does not state if the Vltor M1-S: M1A, M14 Improved Stock System will work with the Springfield OEM barrel shroud. I recommend contacting the manufacturer for that information.

This is what the manufacturer says in regards to compatibility of the Vltor M1-S: M1A, M14 Improved Stock System. "The M1-S stock will fit most M1A/M14’s with standard profile barrels. Out of the box, the M1-S stock will not fit M1A/M14 rifles with the following features: medium contour barrel, heavy contour barrel, National Match barrel, additional/improved bedded lug, M21 and M25 type rifles. Please keep in mind that this stock system exists in Semi-Auto and Select Fire variations. Please make sure that you select the correct stock for your application at the time of purchase. "

Can a bipod work on this? Is there a swing swivel for the strap that can be swapped out for a pic rail? I have a new factory M1A wood stock.

The Vltor M1-S: M1A, M14 Improved Stock System does not have a place to mount a bipod. However, the M1A stock listed at the link below has an accessory rail that you could mount a bipod too.

Yes, the Vltor CASV-14: M14 Rail System will work on a Springfield SOCOM II. This rail system will not interfere with the factory stock or rail.
