The Vortex OPMOD Strike Eagle 1-8 x 24mm Rifle Scope is a magnified optic and can not be co-witnessed with an A2 front sight. The sight will need to be removed to use the Vortex OPMOD Strike Eagle 1-8 x 24mm Rifle Scope.

I use my 1-6 strike eagle on my AR with a fixed sight with no problem. It doesn’t co-witness but the font sight does not interfere with its use

I don’t agree that this scope cannot be used with an A2 front sight or any fixed front sight. You won’t be bothered whatsoever by the front sight. In most cases, you won’t see the sight in the scope at all or it will be so subtle that it won’t matter. We have run scopes on A2 ‘s with fixed front sights for years.

You won’t need to remove your sight. With magnified optics, in nearly all cases, you don’t even see the front sight through your scope.

Magnified at 1x also? Depending on which mount you choose, this scope CAN Co-witness with front sights, ON THE LOWEST MAGNIFICATION.
