It's only 1.1 oz, so it should not affect slide function on your firearm.

The sight is mounted to the solid top frame on the S&W Victory, the slide moves inside the frame, so there would be no affect on slide function.

As others have said the optics mount to the frame not the slide. It does not cause any issues.

It works great. It will not inhibit the gun’s function. Target pistols like the Victory have a bolt that reciprocates inside the receiver. The optic mounts to the receiver and remains stationary.

I have one on my S&W Victory and it works great. It’s mounted to the rail that comes with the 22.
