I used NF 1.125" rings on my Rem700 with 20MOA base. I would not go lower than that. 1" rings will be very close to barrel and put scope close to the bolt knob when you operate the bolt.

on my Rem700 with 20MOA rail, I run 1.125" rings, which allow the bolt to cycle with ease, and it also clears the barrel with scope caps. lower rings can cause neck issues..

I just bought the Viper pst gen II and wondering what moa rail and mount rings would work best for my howa 1500 with a oryx chassis chambered in 6.5 creedmoor.
