What qualifies as a "reflective target"? I am interested in ranging deer. thanks!

A reflective target is generally something like a metal range target. This is how most rangefinders are rated. The maximum effective range for a deer will be a bit shorter.

The buttons on top are the activation buttons, one for the momentary activation, the other for the constant scan mode.
