From what I understand, you CANNOT shot a 9mm out of a .380
It may be acceptable to fire a 9mm from a .380 weapon, and seriously injured your attacker. The trick is to chamber the cartridge, give it to your attacker and move away to a safe distance. If you are able to get him to fire at you, both the weapon and your attacker will likely be seriously disabled.
no you cannot safely fire a 9mm out of a .380.
Yes, provided the chamber is drilled for a 9mm X 19MM.
all Barrels of firearms are marked with the correct caliber. I know of no firearm that allows a larger caliber to be fired out of it for any length of time.
You can't shoot a 9mm out of a 380..Because for the most part The gun your shooting it out of is designed with the minimum standard for 380 Only..You risk spitting your barrel from to much energy...HOWEVER in most situations You can drop 380 into a 9mm gun and fire it..it will handle the round..But you will suffer from extraction problems..But it a 9 will take a 380...Not the other way around though SAFELY..hope this helps..
