The stock does adjust. Look closely at the bottom of the front end. The release button is there

Cheek rest is adjustable & suprisingly stable, only finger tight on adjustment knobs holds it firmly in place.
As to your question of "is the stock itself adjustable?"; it adjusts forward & back on your buffer tube just like any other cabine stock - it locks positively in place at each position on tube.
