The real trick to this Redding No. 2 Beam Assemblyis the specially designed adjusting screw that removes the adjusting screw from the beam thus preventing it from vibrating loose and thus keeping the beam perfectly adjusted. The No. 2 Redding Beam Assembly is all-steel and is the beam that comes with the Redding No. 2 Model 2 Stand. The No. 2 Redding Scale Beam Assembly requires that the charging block be placed in the correct location so that the full potential of the beam is being utilized. This is due to the beam being attached to the specially designed cast bushing that has been threaded on both sides for this purpose.
