I bought this to carry on an elk hunting trip, where we'd be camping at 10,000 ft.
The nylon sheath seems fine, has a spot to keep a sharpener or fire steel. I put a diamond sharpener in it.
The sheath can only be worn in the traditional hanging from a belt loop fashion, no provisions for hanging it on a backpack strap.
The saw blade on the back of the knife is sharp, and worked well for light cutting.
After using it to clean, quarter, and joint (at the knees to make it easier to drag), the blade was noticeably dull and had small chips in the edge (probably from incidentally hitting bone while using it to chop through the tendons).
While using the knife moderately over a one-week period, the paracord cord on the handle started loosening and sliding off the handle. I'll have to figure out how to re-do it.
I don't think it's worth the money, and wish I'd just bought a benchmade skinner.
Pros: Heavy enough for light chopping, paracord handle, saw blade
Cons: Blade doesn't hold edge well, prone to chipping, paracord slips off during use.
