I needed sticks that were small enough when collapsed to fit into my luggage so I could take these on my trip to Africa. These break down small enough to store in my suitcase and were a little less expensive than the carbon version that are only a little lighter. So, I feel was a better option due to the lower price. They worked great and very easy to use in quick situations. Super stable once the gun is resting on it.
