Legacy Reviewer's Review of FOURSEVENS Preon P2 Pen Light 192 Lumen Flashlight

I bought the 4Sevens Preon P2 to put it into the role of my EDC light. After my last pen light broke I began the search for a replacement and after reading many reviews I decided to purchase the Preon P2. So far the light has lived up to my every expectation. The Quality of the light was evident the first time I took it out of the package. The all metal construction and high quality components have me thinking this light will not break anytime soon. The output, different modes that this light provides and the very svelte profile of the Preon P2 make it the perfect EDC light. Its very easy to carry and so light I don't even notice I'm wearing it. On weekends I work overnights at a group home and the lowest output mode is perfect for doing bed checks without waking anyone up. It is not however a lightweight in the output department, when needed is still able to provide more than enough light to do more serious work. The 160 Lumens that the highest mode produces is bright enough to light an entire area outside at night or to even temporarily blind/ disorient someone if need be. Not only is it bright, its efficient. I've had this light for over a month now and even though I use it almost every day I have not noticed it get any dimmer. One thing that really makes this light great is the availability of replacement parts. If the light ever breaks, individual parts can be ordered at just about any place that sells the Preon. Its much cheaper then buying a replacement light and much easier then sending it to the manufacture. The one problem that I have had with the Preon P2 is that the pocket clip seems to be made out of fairly soft steel. It has bent some on me and has become loose enough to easily slip out of my pocket. Its not a deal breaker for me and it is easily fixed by bending the clip back to its normal position. If you plan on doing vigorous activity with it in your pocket then maybe putting a lanyard on it would be best. For the money I don't know if there is a better pen light out there. I would definitely recommend this light to anyone looking for a high quality, very functional, and reasonably priced EDC light.
Pros: Multiple Modes, Output, Cost, Runtime, Quality Construction, Availability of Replacement Parts, Size
Cons: Pocket clip bends easily
