David A.'s Review of 5.11 Tactical Rush Moab 6 Sling Pack
I've been rocking the 5.11 Rush Moab 6 in Double Tap for a solid 7 years now, and it's been my trusty sidekick for 5 of those years. This bad boy has been lugging around more gear than Batman on a particularly busy night – flashlights, multitools, knives, notepads, pens, pencils, a small first aid kit, an iPad, and of course, my CCW. It's held up like a champ, still looking fresh as a daisy, except for the inevitable battle scars here and there.
The internal organization of this bag is like music to my inner neat freak's ears, and the CCW compartment is a godsend. While it's always better to carry on-body, let's face it, sometimes off-body is the only option (other than not carrying at all) - like when hitting the gym, for example. In those moments, this bag's CCW compartment can be a lifesaver - figuratively and literally.
This bag is awesome, but if I had to nitpick, I'd say I wish the CCW compartment was a tad bigger. Trying to squeeze in a G19 with a beaver tail feels like trying to fit Shaq into a Mini Cooper – it's doable, but it's a tight squeeze. Compression straps similar to those found on Rush backpacks would be a nice addition too - sometimes, as they say, the bag is only half full.
