Well made, but poorly designed. - 5.11 Tactical ThumbDrive Holster

As the title states, it's a well made holster. No complaints about the quality or materials used. The part where this holster fails, and the reason I returned it, is the thumbdrive mechanism. I have normal sized hands (usually wear a size L glove) and couldn't release the gun from the holster while gripping the weapon (Sig P220). The gun sits high in the holster, and the thumbdrive release sits low, so there was no way for me to fully depress the release mechanism and draw the gun from the holster. If the thumbdrive lever sat 3/4 of an inch higher, it would probably work well. I have several other holsters with release levers- Safariland, Blackhawk Serpa, etc... and have no problems with any of those.
