A great pair of boots - 5.11 XPRT 8" Tactical Boots 12201

Overall - this is a great pair of boots. They look and feel rugged and strong and are very comfortable to wear - you almost don't feel their weight, like if you wear a pair of light sneakers. I tested them only several times so far (in some of cold and rainy autumn days here, in Moscow Region) and they performed just as I expected. They're also quite easy to clean, if you have compliant repellent and shoe polish (don't forget that these boots have Sympatex membrane!).

The downside is a complex lacing and eyelet system which I find unnecessary and fragile. I lace up my boots up very cautiously and hope that nothing bad will happen until the boots will truly deplete their "resource".
