About 20 years ago I purchased a pair of Pentax 7x50 which served me very well. I still have them and they work fine, but I wanted longer eye relief, as I now must always wear my eye glasses, and higher magnification to see more clearly the birds around my house. I bought the Pentax 10x50 even though I was concerned that the size might make them too bulky for extended use. I was glad to find that the are comfortable to hold and easy to control for long periods. They bring the birds in crisply and close. The large objective lenses make them great for dawn and dusk observations. Plus the long eye relief makes it possible to use the binoculars easily in conjunction with my eye glasses. I'm very happy with the purchase.
Pros: Sharp optics; light gathering ability; smooth operation; solid comfortable feel; long eye relief; great warranty
