These binoculars are an unusual value in a world of expensive optics. The image is large, something important in high magnification optics. The image is crisp, resolution is high and contrast is very good. Shadow detail holds up even in deep shade and poor light. Eye cups are durable and function properly. I believe you would have to spend three or four times the money to get ANY improvement over these binoculars. I watched the optics market for several years before getting these. They replace a 20X60X60 Bausch and Lomb telescope which, although had fine optical characteristics, was difficult to use for extended amounts of time. Of course, you will need a stable tripod (and a tripod adapter)to use these (or any) high magnification binoculars. My other binoculars are 7X24 Bausch and Lomb, 8X32 Nikon, 8X40 Swarovski, and 10X40 IS Canon. I use them all for hunting in the Plains of Montana and for general looking around the out of doors.
Pros: Very high optical performance at a very reasonable price
Cons: none
