M-lok nuts and screws are too short for mpx k handguard - A3 Industries +10 Degree M-LOK Mini Modular Vertical Foregrip - 2.75in HK Grooved Grip

I was quite excited to see this new line of +10 fore grips released for the M-LOK system, as I was looking for a grip for my MPX K without compromising its “pistol” classification. Once it arrived, I attempted to install the grip onto the bottom of my factory MPK K 4.5” hand guard, only to find that the screws included with the fore grip are too short to allow the M-LOK nuts to seat properly (The thickness of the M-LOK hand guard at the attachment points is 3/16”) . On top of that, due to the design of the fore grip, the two screws included are different lengths and require a specific head diameter in order to fit within the grip, so trying to use spare M-LOK screws I had lying around wasn’t possible. I did swap the included T-Nuts for official MagPul ones, and the rearmost nut was actually able to seat properly, but the forward one was still too short. This prevents me from installing the grip at all, unless I file down either the hand guard or the grip, which I’m not trying to do. It’s going to be difficult to try and find the appropriate screws to turn this grip from a glorified paper weight into an actual grip due to the specific dimensions. I warn anybody with a thicker hand guard that this fore grip will likely not fit. Other than that, the grip seems to be pretty good quality. It really is a shame I am not able to see it on my gun.
