The monopod is very sturdy and mounts perfectly. I was however surprised to see that base of the monopod is convex. Although a convex shaped base might be useful in some scenarios, it caused some instability when I was shooting from a bench. I solved the problem by sliding a plastic end cap with a flat surface onto the base of the monopod. I purchased an end cap from www.poppelmann.com. The model number of the end cap in the correct size is GPN 200 Z 28 X 20.
