Great upgrade for an older glock that deserved a dot - ADE Advanced Optics Glock 17 9mm Pistol Slide

I’ve always liked my Glock 17 Gen 2 for range and defensive work, but relying on iron sights started to feel outdated once I trained with red dots on other platforms. This RMR-cut slide was an affordable way to modernize without buying a whole new pistol. My gunsmith knocked it out in an afternoon — slide swapped right on, and my dot mounted flush with no alignment issues. Range sessions since have been great; follow-up shots are faster and more intuitive. Out to 50 yds it’s reliable and consistent, and I feel much more confident in quick engagements. That said, this slide is only for Gen 1–Gen 3 Glock models — it won’t just drop on a Gen 4, Gen 5, or Gen 6 without costly machining.
