I bought the pistol grip for a friend that was wanting a small home defense shotgun that his older hands could easily operate. The description says that it fits a 20Gauge, but it does not fit unless you have some gunsmithing skills and dremel tool. The plastic stock adapter had to reamed and trimed to fit the 1187 20 Gauge stock. It took about 2 hours to hand fit the parts to the shot gun. In the end it turned out nice but I was not expecting to have to hand fit the parts. My friend is happy and it will serve him well, but it would be nice if the manufacture would include an 1187 20 Gauge adapter with the stock. This is the reason the rating are so low. I did call Optics Planet and they were not quite sure why it did not fit.
Pros: Light weight, well made, easy to handle
Cons: Custom Gunsmithing required for adapter to fit 1187 20GA
