Michael D's Review of Advantage Arms Glock 19/23 Gen 5 .22 LR Conversion Kit W/Two 10-Round Magazine and Range Bag

I was skeptical at first hearing about cycling issues. But after researching the Glock 44 and cycling issuesand no optic cut I decided to give it a go! I bought the optic cut slide because it said I was able to mount a red dot weighing less than 1.5 ounces. Again I was skeptical. I have vision issues so I wanted a set up that matches my 9mm set up which includes a Holosun 507K. I purchased a new Holusun SCS for the glock footprint. It is recommended by Advantage Arms because of the footprint, weight, and no need for an adapter plate. I installed it on the kit slide and it fit perfectly. I figured I can use it on any of my other MOS glocks if it did not perform. I followed all Advantage Arms ammo recommendations and use CCI Mini Mags. I have put atleast 400 rounds through it and have only had 2 jams. I am very satisfied and would recommend this product. Also watch the YouTube video on the AA kit from the Glock store. It will give you great pointers to make sure you don't have any cycling issues. Keeping everything clean and oiled and using the recommended ammo seems to be the key. If you search "recommended ammo and recommended red dots on the AA site it will give you a list of recommended products. I also bought the 25 round magazine from AA. So far it has worked good for me and is going to reduce ammo costs in the long run!
Pros:
  • Cost and optic ready.
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Training and introducing new shooters without much recoil
Would Recommend: Yes
