First off, this thing is insanely light even compared to others I've had that were marketed as "ultralight". It fits well with my light weight pencil build. The machining and finish is flawless. The 12" handgaurd is actually 12 5/8" long as others have said. I can't speak to how long the others are. This is fine for me with a 14.5 + pin and weld brake but be careful if you have like a 13.5" barrel and you want to run a suppressor things will get very tight or you won't be able to. Most uppressors will NOT fit under this rail due to the small inner diameter.
