Mel's Review of Aero Precision AR-15 BAR Barrel Nut and Shims
Needs more shims in set. I torqued the nut the recommended 3 times. Untorqued and reinstalled.
installed shims one at a time up to 8 (.001 thk ea) then torqued to 45 ft lbs. Alignment hole for gas tube ended up about 15deg clockwise past gas tube hole in nut. ran out of shims. Suggest either add addition new 4 hole pattern at 45deg or double shims.
