Good but not the best! - AGM Global Vision NVG-40 1x27mm Dual Tube Night Vision Goggles

For someone making a pretty hefty purchase, its important to know what you are buying. Overall, this NV optic is decent. I live in the sticks and I would notice this product does need some sort of light, ie. moon or stars, but because the area is very shady, its hard to see any animal or person under the shade. It looks like static in the extra dark areas. When I walked into a more open field I was able to see more clear defined objects. I am no expert with NV, but compared to my level 3+ monocular, this is definitely more beginner entry. This is also pretty heavy when mounted on a helmet with its dove tail, so i would recommend using counterweight on the helmet as well. Also tether it to the helmet as a safety precaution. It would become an expensive paper weight if it were to fall. I would recommend to get this product when its on sale, and as an entry level device. Still very cool though!
