This thermal is really good. A worthwhile upgrade from the 256. Use rechargeable batteries from amazon and you're GTG.

First thermal scope and was a little unsure what would be best for my usage. Chose this based on budget and anticipated use. Expect most of my usage will be less than 100 yards. So far I am very impressed with the unit. AmazedEasy to use, easy to setup. Glad I went with the 384 resolution. Wouldnt mind it being higher even. The 1.5 base magnification is nice as it gives me a wider field of view. Not sure that I would want it much smaller as a base. The magnification I understood would decrease the resolution rapidly and it does get grainy quick. All in all I think it was a great deal at a very reasonable price!

I bought the AGM Rattler TS25-384 to use at a maximum range of 125 yards in an open field. When the device arrived, the firmware loaded on the device was one update behind but the update process was simple. In the field, the performance of the device is impressive. The ability to detect heat sources and the clarity at 125 years has exceeded my expectations. I have noticed an occasional lag in the picture but the refresh rate is acceptable. I will not hesitate to recommend the AGM Rattler TS25-384 to my friends. I will also recommend the Optics Planet to my friends. I am a frequent customer of Optics Planet and by this time I must have reached the highly coveted "Double-Platinum Diamond" level.

Recently purchased this scope. Clear image up to 50-60 yards. Still able to easily identify animals ranging up to 175-200 yards. Past that, identifying becomes tough. Took it out the night I received it. Works amazing.

The reason for writing the review, is not because I’m unsatisfied but when looking for affordable thermals watching videos and looking at reviews there wasn’t a abundance witch made it a risky thing to spend $2,000 on. But this scope is nice it’s clear I’ve had it for about two weeks now I’m infatuated with the fact I can see my foot prints on the floor in my house and the studs in the walls and how clear it can get, the thing to be aware of is I put this on a 16 inch barrel AR and as the barrel gets hot you can see the glow and I can see how to some people it could be annoying to, I feel a simple fix would to be put it on a 13.5 inch barrel or a AR pistol the scope is very clear within 150 yards I’d say the zoom isn’t great but you get a nice sight picture and distance with the 1x zoom, also I took this scope to a indoor range and obviously can’t use hot hands and make a mess all over the range, but what I did witch was cool was licked my finger put it on the target and I could see the heat pretty well. I only shot a couple rounds and didn’t really sight it in being I was at a 25 yard indoor range but was impatient to try her out waiting to get on a buddy’s farm and really sit down and get it on point.

Nice solid optic! Eye relief is not that great.built my own small battery bank for it.i was trying to keep under 2k on price. That why I didn't get the ts35-384 which has more base magnification.all in all I'm happy with the agm rattler ts25-384.will recommend
