Geomit's Review of AIM Sports AR-15 Free Float Keymod Handguard Cerakote
Ok product if you are not afraid to modify parts or not looking for perfection. A few things I did not like about the this product:
1. Had to file down one of the anti-rotation tabs 1mm to align the top rail to the upper receiver
2. Had to enlarge one side of both screw holes 1.5mm to align the screws to the barrel nut as it was out of
alignment (even before filing down the anti-rotation tab).
3. The top rail is not a true 10", however it is 10" end to end.
4. Very weak finish- scratches easily, but I am more concerned with material strength than scratches.
Overall, not a bad product for the price. After the filing it fit well and looks good. The barrel nut did not take a lot of adjusting or any shims as some do, so that's a plus.
