Big Dummy's Review of AIM Sports Inc Sub-Compact CREE LED Weapon Light

I know!!! A light for a cheap single shot.22lr??? The Little Badger has 4 rails so Why Not? Light comes with, of course a clear, blue, yellow and a red replacement lens. Plastic lens but they do have an o-ring, and a spare, to seal out some water. Deeper set so they shouldn't scratch if packing in the Pacific Northwest jungle. Uses a CR 123A battery. The one that came with the light is cheaper half dead, and dying as I mess with it outside, and I haven't bought a new one yet. That said, with the red lens it is still pretty darned bright at night. I could still ID a squatch across the 100' yard and knock him into the next neighborhood with the mighty .22lr. A new battery should be super. Light is on, off, strobe, off operation. Switch on back of light is easy to turn on with a push. Almost too easy actually. You could hit it accidentally and have it on during daylight when packing and have the battery go dead. The quick detach couldn't be easier. Pull down on the spring loaded aluminum side tabs and slide it on. The Chiappa comes with "plastic" rails so the fit is a bit loose but not enough that it might fall off. It just moves a tiny bit. On a good metal or better quality pistol rail it fits a little better but still wiggles. It ain't gonna come off unless you pull down on those release tabs. It is light weight but seems to be a good quality. It is worth the money paid and it should be a great choice on any pistol or rifle with a standard rail. Side pic on site shows 150 lumen on light but mine says 330 lumen so site pic is incorrect but light does look identical except for the printing on its side.
Pros:
  • Price, weight, quick detach
Cons:
  • Wish it were a AA or AAA
Best Used for:
  • Single shot .22 lr tactical ops or whatever u want it on
