If you want the best micro red dot for your rifle or handgun this is the one to buy. Of course you get the famous razor sharp 2 MOA red dot, obsessive build quality, durability and battery life with great ergonomics. Personally I prefer a brightness switch that has OFF clicks between each brightness setting but I'm sure Aimpoint could point out why my preference in BAD. As previously mentioned the brightness dial in needlessly extremely stiff, perhaps it smooths out after 10,000 twists. The glass does have a very notable blue tint, my profession requires highly developed sense of color acuity so many folk may not notice or care. It's not distracting.

As with my other Aimpoint purchases I pondered long and hard about spending "that much" for a red dot. A Trijicon MRO was considered. I don't think I'll ever need "battle proven" but if I do I'm set.
