Aimpoint excellence - Aimpoint PRO 1x38mm Reflex Red Dot Sight

I love aimpoint products and I like that this is half the price of other options in their catalog but does not sacrifice quality. I compared this PRO to my comp m2 and found that the comp m2 seemed to be of a slightly more durable construction, but that is not to say that the PRO is not. I would say that overall build quality would be equal to anything in its price category. The reticle is the typical 2 MOA dot and does have some star splotching around it. I do wish this one used double A batteries like a comp M4 but since it uses the same lithium batteries as the comp m2 I am not to bothered. Though the battery life is a little reduced from a comp m2 I do have to say that All of my “negatives” for this optic are consistent for its price point in comparison to the more expensive COMP m2 and COMP M4 of which I am intimately familiar. The clicks on adjustment are audible and tactile and I had the optic zeroed in no time flat. I have this mounted on a 6.5in SBR and though it does look large on the gun it’s construction and pedigree inspires confidence for end of the world reliability, just keep a steady supply of those 1/3n lithium’s on hand.
