This system works great. Once it is set, it is set. All you have to do is get your spacers right and then you are good to go.
I have put all my red dots on some sort of Quick release system. The Aimpoint comp M4 comes with a good system, so I didn't have to do anything there.
My reasons for quick release. I am concerned about EMP. The bad guys have access to this tech, as well as concerns of a false flag event. Please, don't think I'm nuts on this: pull your head out of the sand and READ. I have talked with red dot techs from different companies and they cannot guarantee that their circuitry will survive an EMP. I have put all my red dots and red dot backups in EMP proof bags to protect them. If the lights go out, mine will still be on.
The great thing about this quick release is that it has a cross bar stabilizer and returns to zero when you take it on and off: put it in an EMP bag to protect it and then pull it out when you need it.
Hope that helps.
Pros: returns to zero after you remove and put back on
Cons: None
