M's Review of AimShot Quick Release M-LOK Adapter w/Picatinny Rail & Bipod Adapter

This product is a great idea and I had high hopes for it, but its design fundamentally flawed and practically guaranteed to self-destruct on you. Let me explain why this product is worth nothing in its current form.

The upper rail piece is NOT part of the lower piece with the side buttons and MLOK studs. It is completely separate, and the two parts are only held together with four TINY little screws. We're talking watch screws in size here, they're absolutely insubstantial. I can't believe whoever designed this thing thought it'd be able to hold up to ANY kind of force applied against it from a deployed bipod. These screws sheared right out merely from me OPENING my spring-assisted bipod that was attached to it. That's right, I never even got to take this rifle out of the house to shoot it before it broke. If it hadn't broken from that, I'm positive the force simply from shooting the rifle while resting on a bipod while attached to this would have busted it clean off all the same.

If they had spent the extra quarter-cent on some real screws with some meat to them, this would probably be just fine. Unfortunately, they clearly didn't bother to test thing thing in reality before shipping off their CAD files to China to have them manufactured, otherwise they probably would have realized that screws less than a centimeter long weren't going to cut it.
Pros:
  • Great concept
Cons:
  • Fundumentally Flawed Design
  • Wobbly MLOK connection
Best Used for:
  • Returning for a refund
