The top piece is too tight on the gas tube. the piston would not come out without loosening the top cover. I used a dremel tool to make it fit. If you have the full length gas tube you may not have this issue. My STG58 is a late produced FAL and has a half gas tube. I had to give a four stars because it was not plug and play. This is a good deal and I would buy it again.
Pros:
- Looks and feels so much better than stock
Cons:
- fitting may be required

- A better bipod
