Diddly's Review of AIM Sports Inc AR-15/M4 Handguard/Quad Rail

Please read if you have a Ruger AR556. They fit perfectly!!! Please do not listen to those that say they don't. I know because I experienced most of the issues described but realized I was to blame (it can be fidgety but by no means difficult if done correctly). Some incorrect things I've seen: 1) Handguard is oval/ deformed. Reality- guard ships looking oval because the two pieces are completely tightened, by the four allen bolts, when shipped. When installing, the two pieces mount a little further apart, thus making the circle. They are made this way on purpose. There is overhang so when slightly separated there still are gaps or anything. 2) Guard sits crooked, slightly cocked, etc. Reality- You INSTALLED it crooked. Take your time. Line things up. It may take a few tries. It doesn't really "pop" in place like I expected but "seats" itself. On my first few attempts mine actually set cocked about 5-10° off center. But after keeping at it and carefully lining things up, it is PERFECTLY flush with my upper rail. It's YOU; not the guard. 3) Doesn't fit into the "circle behind the front sight" like the stock guard did. Reality- It's not supposed to! It sits on top of the "circle behind the front sight". This was the first time I've ever changed a handguard on an AR-15 and it took me about 15 mins. Please just take your time, it WILL line up and work if you take your time and use common sense. Guard is solid and secure even with multiple attachments. Good luck! Hope's this helps some people who may be hesitant based on other reviews that, while I'm sure were made with the best intentions, simply aren't correct. This is a solid quad rail at a good price. Happy with my purchase.
