Very pleased - ALG Defense Ergonomic Modular Railed Handguard -V2

I'm on of the pickiest consumers, especially when it comes to gun parts. A typical engineer. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is my third one of these. Just purchased the 15" version Optics Planet. This product appears to be well engineered on seeming every level, including reasonable cost management. Great quality, very sturdy, superior fit/finish, and best instructions of any rail I've seen. I almost threw the instructions away because I've installed more rails than I can recall, but I looked out of curiosity. It has a really clever system. When you buy the rail and the barrel nut fitting, you don't need a torque wrench. The "wrench" attachment for the nut has gradations that allow you to install at proper torque without a wrench, using the included barrel nut shims. There is even a table that tells you which shim to use based on where the nut aligns . Only thing to be aware of, if you run your gun in competitions or are weight sensitive, this is not the lightest option but is manageable. It provides a very comfortable grip and sturdy purchase. If you use a thumb-over-bore grip or "c-clamp" you likely won't need rubber grips or ladders.
