Adjustments gone bad - Alpen 20-60x60 Waterproof Fully Multi-Coated Spotting Scope With Tripod

was a good spotting scope at the range when i bought it. bright at 20X but very dim at 60X with poor eye relief. used one season in the field with no problems, now as i get ready for this year the focus will not work. I turn it and it gets close to in focus but not good enough. I banged on the case to see if there were losed optics inside. sure enough, then it focused, until it got bumped again. probably not built for rough handling. Also the zoom gets so stiff when cold that the entire eye piece began to unscrew at one point.
Pros: good optics, light weight.
Cons: zoom adj. too stiff, Focus adjustment failed
