Had $300 to $400 budgeted for spotting scope. Wanted a scope I could see .22 holes at 200yds. Wanted a angled eye piece for optional star- gazing. Have never owned a scope so can't make a comparision. I can see 22 holes in a soda pop based homemade cardboard target. Haven't used for any astronomy
