Straight out of the box I was impressed. It comes in a travel case which is lockable. As long as the case doesn't suffer to much abuse it should last for a long time. The case itself comes lined with foam so your scope is well protected and fits snug in the box. The scope is awesome real clear and bright picture. Easy to adjust distance and focus. The sun shade at the front that slides in and out is a great little touch so you don't have to carry extra equipment. The tripod is equally as good with its micro adjustment making it easy to fine tune the scope when lining it up with your target.
