Muzzle break for 7mm prc - American Precision Arms Gen 4 Fat Bastard Self Timing Muzzle Brake

A friend recently introduced me to long range shooting with his build in .300 R.U.M. Knowing that rounds reputation and having had three shoulder surgeries, i was hesitant. He assured me that the APA “Fat B^$tard” muzzle break on it tamed the recoil, but quality hearing protection was a must. He was right on both counts. With his help i just did a 7mm PRC build on a Ruger American Gen. II, and put a five chambered APA “Fat B^$tard” on it. Once again it provided tremendous recoil reduction, about what 7mm08 feels like. I hunt using sound amplifying/loud noise blocking hearing protection. Hearing protection is a must with these breaks, however, i highly recommend them for recoil reduction.
